interview 1: Elsa Horsley, artist and environmental campaigner, UK

Q: Can you describe yourself and your work in terms that a 4 year old can

understand, please?

A: I’m a little girl who lives by the sea. I love ballet and llamas and cuddles from my

mum. My favourite things to do are swimming, art, and cross-stitch. I want people to

read my work so they can save the environment and help the world. My posters

have different colours in them which makes them stand out. I would like to put my

work on trees so when people walk past they can read them and help save the

environment, because animals will live longer

Q: What do your family think about you doing these videos and things about the

environment?

A: My mum lets me use her phone and computer to make my posters. My mum and dad are proud of me.

Q: What is your favourite pastry?            A: Pain au chocolate!

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

A: My art teacher Mrs Appleby - and the ballerina Darcey Bussell.

Q: Who is you favourite Disney princess and which Disney princess                                                          do you think is the strongest (in emotion or in physical strength)?

A: Rapunzel is the strongest Disney princess because she follows her                                                    her dreams. Pocahontas has the biggest muscles! But my favourite

Disney princess is Belle from Beauty and the Beast because she likes

                                                        exploring.

Q: What is your favorite thing that you have ever made?

                                                         A: My environmental posters.

Q: What can we children do (one thing) that will make the world substantially better for us when we are adults and for our children if we have them?

A: If we stop using cars and use the bus instead that will help save the world. : )
